在另一本讲英汉互译的书上又看到这样一段提到“折射”一词 其中大致意思就是说翻译要百分百忠实原文的这一翻译观点有些理想化 但其中举得折射例子说明没太明白：Georges Mounin says that the translation is a pane of glass through which we look at the work of art.He is thinking Gogol's definition of the perfect translator as one who becomes a pane of glass which is so transparent that the reader does not notice that there is any glass.Obviously,it is too difficult to reach such an ideal:even the clearest glass has an index of refraction(折射).A"clear glass" translation,however,can always be effected as it has been done through centuries.

“折射”本意是指光穿过介质时传播路线会改变,这里用这个比喻经过翻译（玻璃这个介质）后,原文（穿过介质前,即发生折射之前）与译文（之后）很难达到完全一致
