这个后边应该还有成分吧?应该是thinking about 什么事情或者是什么事物吧?
如果后边有东西的话,thinking about .是现在分词作伴随状语.实际上应该是get excited （when I am )thinking about.因为主句从句主语一致,括号中的成分可以省略.
所以就有了thinking.
