My ten-year-old son ,Anton,is crazy about cars.He will watch any new and flashy car in admiration whenever we're out driving.
The frustrating event for my son,however is that we are driving along in my large 1987 Dodge Raider.My son is at an age when he is embarraassed by many things :our old house ,the food Icook,and my attempt to talk with his friends.But topping the list is our car.Perhaps this is why he prefers to walk the mile to school ,even in the most challenging weather.
One day Anton asked,"Dad,why do you drie such an old car?"
"Anton,"I said ,"a car is a necessary choice to get us from Point A to Point B.I don't need a car that entertains me..I don't need to turn my car into a movie theater.Actully,there's so much room in the Raider that I could pick up a person in need.Understand?"
