David gave us one task that “Higher education in the USA”,and lists its characteristics.It includes seven aspects that selecting a university,university and department entrance requirement,graduate school entrance process and so on.
First point is selecting a university.High school students go to Junior college or directly to 4 year university.In the USA no matter you are what university graduation of fan find work,because experience than the university.Different universities have different major specialties.Second,university and department entrance requirement ,we should prepare for SAT Exam,high school GPA,entrance essay ,self-introduction ,and the interview content including similar to entrance essay,“what are your passions?” “Do you have any special talents or are you active in outside activities?” Third,most of the college students in the USA through the way to work to make money to pay for the tuition.Part of the student tuition fees are paid for by the government.Fourth,students have very rich social life.They living on campus or living off campus,they have part-time jobs,possibility to take part in different activities and club.The fifth spot is,major and classes structure.Major must be declared by beginning of Junior year.It has general classes and major courses.The sixth is practicum and internships.David told us that the student in the United States have their own internship program,it’s important that practice can let us more sufficient contact the society,and the practice of knowledge.And lastly,is graduate school entrance process.In China people admitted a master's degree has become a popular trend but in the USA is completely different.People for work or academic research needs further study.people In the USA need to attend the GRE.Selecting several universities,contact Professors at potential school of interest and read papers or books written by them.Write school and department entrance essay.
In short,the USA and China's higher education while there are many different place but are in order to develop social talents.
