Appendix B:Letter of Information - Chemical substances in mixtures,articles and packaging   The EU regulation REACH 1907/2006/EC (Registration Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals),hereinafter referred to as “REACH”,regarding chemical substances in mixtures and articles entered into force in 2007.The purpose of the regulation is to ensure that products and packaging on the EU market are not hazardous to health and the environment.   DACORE requires all suppliers to fulfil all obligations according to REACH.  In addition,DACORE does not allow any substances of very high concern (SVHC),published in the REACH Candidate list and Annex XIV,in concentrations above 0,1 % weight by weight.Examples of such substances are the phthalates DEHP,BBP and DBP.   In short,DACORE requires the following: Restricted substances according to REACH may only be used in accordance with the provisions in Annex XVII to the regulation.Products and packaging shall not contain authorisation substances according to REACH,Annex XIV.The use in products and packaging of a substance taken into the candidate list shall be phased out within twelve (12) months from the date of publishing the substance in the candidate list.The supplier shall within 30 calendar days upon request from DACORE provide DACORE with complete and valid documentation,stating the possible content in products or packaging of SVHC on the REACH Candidate list.The documentation on SVHC may be in the form of a complete bill of substances,or a screening test report from a laboratory approved by DACORE A supplier of products classified as chemical substances or preparations shall fulfil all obligations according to REACH either by itself or through a so called “Only Representative” within the EU.A copy of the contract with the “Only Representative” shall soonest be provided to DACORE.It is the responsibility of the supplier to seek information about any updates of REACH,adhere to the updates,and inform DACORE if any of the included chemical substances have been or are present in delivered or coming orders of products or packaging. The latest version of the Reach candidate list you will find here:  Please also note that DACORE has additional requirements regarding chemical content in products and packaging.These requirements are defined in the purchase agreement with appendices,referring to DACORE Quality manuals.    Best regards,    DACORE,Purchase department
