The Forbbiden City
It'is built from 1406 to 1420 and located in the center of BJ.As the symble of the highest power in Ming and Qing ,there're 24 emperors lived in The Forbbiden City.And now it is the best preserved palace all over the world and opened to people as a palace museum.
You can take bus or subway to Tian'anmen Square .The Palace Museum is in the north of the Square.
The Summer Palace
The Summer Palace was used as a holiday garden in the summer for the emperors and their families.It is 10km on the northwestern of BJ.This resort was famous from Jin Dynasty(1115-1234 AD).Here you will see a piece of the style of Chinese classic garden which is best known in south of China.The whole garden is 290 hectars including a large lake and mountains.
You can by subway line4 to arrive here .Get off the station of Yuanmingyuan.
The Ruins of Yuanmingyuan
Now this place is only left the ruins for us to visite.But as many people known Yuanmingyuan is the most bueatiful Garden in the old time.It was including 4 big gardens all together and lots of valuable and precious relics placed in this garden but now only ruins.It was looted by the Eight-power Allied Forces in 1900.Most of treasures was taken by them and the things they cannot moved were burned down.
Go to Yuanmingyuan you can take subway line4.The same stop as you go to The Summer Palace.
