A punching machine for use in punching holes in the sides of articles incorporating two C-shaped assemblies forming punching tool supports and guided within the machine in such a way that they can be displaced and moved away from each other. In the present text, the term “to bore” or “to punch” means a complete operation for making a hole through a solid.
