Scarlett O'Hara lived at Tara, her family's cotton plantation in Georgia, with her parents and two sisters in a weathy family. Scarlett learned that Ashley Wilkes—whom she secretly loved—was to be married to his cousin, Melanie Hamilton. Meanwhile ,a man called Rhett Butler, who was disowned by his family, admired Scarlett very much. Then the Civil War began and Scarlett lost her father, mother, 3 husbands and her family wealth. When the war was finally over, Scarlett realized that her true love was Rhett Butler, not Ashley Wilkes or her 3 husbands. So, Scarlett married Rhett and had a daughter, Bonnie, with him. However, Rhett still thought the Scarlett loved Ashley and their marriage began to fall apart. Later, Bonnie died of a horse-riding accident. Rhett was so sad that he left Scarlett. Scarlett, who was also desperate, was determined to win Rhett's love back and decided to go back home to Tara, where she would get strength and pull herself together again.
