我看了很多新闻标题都不用the ，如China's first spacewalk attracts world attention. 如NPC, CPPCC sessions attract world attention .为什么world前不加the呢？

我想是因为此处world作形容词修饰名词attention.
平时world作名词的时候前面确实需要加定冠词the.如:The event amazed the world.这个事件另整个世界吃惊.
world作形容词有两个意思,其实我个人认为这两个意思差别不太大:
1.世界的或与世界相关的(of or relating to the world):如a world champion.世界冠军.
2.波及到整个世界的(involving or extending throughout the entire world):如a world crisis.世界危机.
我觉得楼主例中的world attention,world是其作形容词的第1个意思.即工业发展的速度和规模引来了世界的瞩目.
