用 the train's 肯定没错
但要注意：
动名词的复合结构,如果做介词宾语,这里是for,尤其是当逻辑主语是无生命的东西时（此句为the train),常用名词普通格代替所有格.
再如：
The noises of【 the desks being opened and closed】 could be heard out in the street.
