1. Free admission to parks
There are more and more parks have free admission. I think the purposes of that are to attract more people coming to parks to do exercises and having some activities after school or work. I think the purposes are for the benefit of the general public; however, this may bring some problems.
With more and more people coming to the park, the park will become more and more crowded. The trees, flowers and grass in the park may be harmed because people may take shortcut or throw trash freely. As a result, the environment of the parks may not be as good. As time goes on, there might be fewer people willing to go to the park. The original purposes would be defeated.
I think the best way to carry out the purpose is to make sure people will keep the park clean and maintain the environment in the park.
2. Dishonesty in Tourism
Dishonesty in tourism becomes more and more popular recently. One reason is that the travel agencies are trying to make more money by taking tourists to the stores that may give the agencies commissions. The other reason is that the local stores may think that tourists don't know the exact situation in the city and they may raise the price as high as they want. In one word, the economic benefit is behind the dishonesty situation.
I think the way to deal with it is that the tourists should do more research beforehand. For example, they can search online and see if other people have any recommendation about what to purchase and where to purchase. They can also shop around and check multiple stores out before they purchase anything.
