Abstract:In order to solve this fuel problem,fuel saving will be a crucial concern of airlines.Not only on the fuel saving in each stage of the flight operation,such as taxi,take-off,climb,cruise,descent,approach and landing are focused in this thesis but also on factors in maintenance which could affect fuel consumption.And the factors are analysed quantitatively and qualitatively,which include flight level,cruising speed,descending speed,climbing speed and gross weight.Meanwhile,the fuel consumption for redispatch has been calculated.At last,the responsibility for the pilot,dispatcher and maintainer in fuel saving has been discussed briefly.
